JANIE REISLER
ARTIST, TEACHER & INFLUENCER
Janie completed an Honors degree in Art History from McGill University in Montréal, Quebec. She has worked in the fashion industry for over 35 years as a designer. Returning to re-educate in her 40’s, and graduating with another degree in Graphic Design, she started her own company. After so many years traveling overseas to Europe and Asia, she was influenced by the modern Visual and Fine Arts and now has returned to explore her passion.
Her keen sense of color, appreciation for graphics and great design and fine tuned, critiquing talent has brought her to create those ‘beautiful things’ she was taught to love by her dad. Today she is also enjoying teaching her art style and lives to inspire her students. Her work is a tribute to her late father and she is immensely enjoying this next career, as a ‘NEW emerging artist.’

Janie’s favorite gift from as early as she can remember, was a new box of crayons.
To this day, she is drawn to bold and strong color…always peaking through, even in her neutral pieces.
Art was all around her growing up. Her father, the late Seymour, was her mentor and was a collector of art and beautiful things. Together, from an early age, they would visit art fairs, festivals and museums. He taught her to embrace the Arts with passion and only buy what you love!
